KINSTON - Andrea Ray "Ann" Mansfield, age 67, a resident of 2681 Falling Creek Road, Kinston passed away Wednesday, May 16, 2012 at Vidant Medical Center in Greenville, surrounded by her family, after a lengthy illness. Ann is at peace and rest, and her space in the family circle cannot be filled. She will be greatly missed. A graveside funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Monday, May 21, 2012 at Gethsemane Cemetery in Morehead City, on N.C. Highway 24, officiated by Rev. Allen Ham. The family will receive friends at the home located at 2681 Falling Creek Road, Kinston. Ann was born in Portland, Maine, on Aug. 30, 1944, the daughter of the late Sheridan Mansfield and Alice Ladd Mansfield, who survives. She resided in Lenoir County for most of her life. Ann loved television, especially game shows; she always had an appetite for good things to eat. She loved to travel to the beach and especially Hawaii. Ann had a great love for reading and being around people, having company and visitors was one of her greatest enjoyments. Ann is survived by her mother, Alice of the home; her only sibling, her sister, Lynne Mansfield West of Kinston, with whom she made her home for many years; a nephew, Todd West and wife Linda of Kinston; two nieces, Valerie Jernigan and husband Jamie of LaGrange and Betrece Broadway; a great nephew, West; and seven great nieces, Makayla, Addison, Avery, Savannah, Haleigh, Skylar and Faith, who all loved her very much.
