KINSTON - Mrs. Bobbye Dale Cromer passed away on Sunday, April 28, 2013, at the age of 78. She resided in Kinston since 1982. Her parents, Edith C. Parks, stepfather T. S. Parks and father, Percy M. Stricklin preceded her in death. Also preceding her were her siblings, T. S. Parks Jr., Mamie Joe Henry, Percy M. Stricklin, Maxine Littlefield, and Martha Ann Liberto. Survivors include her sons, Bradley Smith Cromer and wife Dawn, of Kinston and Alfred Lee "Bo" Melton of Durham; grandchildren Cooper Cromer, Sloan Melton and Summer Melton; former husband of 33 years, Dr. William B. Cromer, MD of La Grange; special nephew, Linc A. Liberto of Texas; along with 13 other loving nieces and nephews throughout Texas and Michigan, along with countless great-nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held at 7 p.m. Wednesday, May 1, 2013, at Howard-Carter Funeral Home with visitation to follow. Interment will be at 11 a.m., Thursday, May 2, 2013, at Westview Cemetery.
