Bonnie Moore, 84, of Trenton passed away Saturday at Lenoir Memorial Hospital. Known to many as "Nana" she loved spending time with her family and two special puppies. Bonnie was a retired Social Worker with the Cabarrus Co. DSS. She was a member of the Parkwood Baptist Church in Concord, N.C. She was preceded in death by her husband Walter Ellis Moore; two sisters Georgia Kramp, Johnnie Carney, and brother Buddy McKay. Funeral services will be held 7:00 pm Tuesday June 11, 2013 at Edwards Funeral Home with Rev. Allen Ham officiating. Visitation will be held immediately following the service and other times at the home of Joe and Helen Stilley 258 Stilley Road, Trenton, N.C. Surviving are her children: Linda Moore Rhodes and husband J. Howard of Concord, N.C., Warren Ellis Moore and special friend Betty Slaughter Gurganus of Trenton, Helen Moore Stilley and husband Joseph O. Stilley of Trenton. She is also survived by her grandchildren: Jay Rhodes and wife Tracey Rhodes, Beth Rhodes Williamson, Susan Whitfield and husband Robbie Whitfield, Joey Stilley and wife Megan Stilley, Rex Ellis Moore and wife Ardith Moore, and Lauren Ashley Moore, great grandchildren: Joey, Mara and Ashton Rhodes, Hunter and Joshua Long, Courtney and Elizabeth Jo Whitfield, Sarah Moore and Joseph Tyler Stilley. She is also survived by two great great grandchildren, many nieces and nephews and her best friend in Christ, Joyce Stancil of Kannapolis. The family would like to say a special thank you to the staff on the 5th floor at Lenoir Memorial Hospital for their excellent care and compassion.
