SNOW HILL - Carnell Radford, 78, died January 20, 2014. A native of Greene County, he was born July 22, 1935, the son of Ben and Lula Radford. He spent most his life farming, later became well known for his construction work. Carnell attended Hull Road Original Free Will Baptist Church. He was always willing to help others in need. A memorial service will be held Sunday, January 26, at 3 p.m. at Hull Road Original Free Will Baptist Church in Snow Hill, with the Reverend Leon Grubbs officiating. In additions to his parents, Carnell was preceded in death by his brother, Melvin C. Radford. His surviving family includes his wife of 23 years, Beverly Cunningham Radford of the home; mother-in-law Janet W. Cunningham also of the home; sisters, Carol-Jean Kearney of La Grange, Shirley Harris of Fountain; brother, Terry Radford of Grifton; and several special nieces and nephews.
