KINSTON - Clarence Allen Grady, 79, passed away on Saturday, March 29, 2014, at Vidant Medical Center in Greenville. Clarence was preceded in death by his parents, David and Versie Grady; sister, Joan Grant and nephew, Lindy Grant. Clarence worked as a maintenance mechanic at Du Pont for 39 years and served his country with the United States Army in Germany. He was an avid fisherman and a long-time member of Spilman Baptist Church. Survivors include his loving wife of 56 years, Delia Walston Grady of the home; son, Todd Grady; sister, Bessie Almond and husband, Hoyett, all of Kinston; brother, Jack D. Grady and wife Faye of Kinston; brother-in-law, Linwood Grant of Kinston; nieces, Sue Proctor and Joanna Rajaratnam; and nephews, David Grady and Eddie Norcross. Visitation will be Tuesday, April 1, 2014, from 12:30-2:00 p.m. at Spilman Memorial Baptist Church and other times at the home. Funeral Services will be held at 2 p.m. at Spilman Memorial Baptist Church with Pastor Randy Outland and Pastor Allen Ham officiating. Burial will follow the service at Westview Cemetery. Flowers are welcome or memorials may be made to , 55 W. Wacker Drive, Suite 1150, Chicago, IL. 60601. Howard-Carter Funeral Home is assisting the family with arrangements.
