TRENTON - Clifton Eugene "Buster" Metts, 72, of 2558 Highway 41 West, passed away Thursday, August 16, 2012, at his home. Mr. Metts was retired as a mechanic with Coca Cola of New Bern. He was preceded in death by his parents, Thomas Clifton and Nina Jenkins Metts; his sister, Carol Cribb; and his grandson, Tommy Eubanks. Funeral services will be held at 6 p.m. on Sunday evening, August 19, 2012, from the chapel of Garner Funeral Home with Pastor Neil Hearn officiating. The family will receive friends immediately following the service and other times at his home. Interment services will be held at 2 p.m. on Monday from Trenton Cemetery. Survivors include his wife of 53 years, Edna Jones Metts of the home; his daughters, Ann Metts Barker and husband Larry, and Tammy Metts Barker and husband Gary, all of Trenton; his son, Warren Metts and wife Tracy, of Wisconsin; five grandchildren, Jennifer King and husband Paul, Melissa Barker and husband Stevie, Jimmy Eubanks Jr. and wife Stephanie, Eric Barker and wife Nicole and Jason Barker; 12 great-grandchildren, Austin, Dustin, Daisy, Braxton, Ryan, Chandler, Hannah, Hayden, MacKenzie, Bradley, DeAnn and Khloe.
