FLETCHER - Douglas Milton "Doug" Wiley, 62, of Fletcher, N.C. went home to be with the Lord Friday afternoon, January 4, 2013 following a brief but courageous battle with cancer. Born in Greenville, N.C., he was the son of the late Milton and Megenter Gaskins Wiley. Formerly of Grifton, N.C., he moved to Henderson County in 2007. He was a carpenter for more than 40 years of his life and was most recently employed by Wilsonart as an OTR truck driver. He was a member of Hoopers Creek Baptist Church. He is survived by his children, Gavin Wiley, Kailin Wiley, both of Hendersonville, and Brett Wiley of Texas. A funeral service will be held at 2 p.m. Tuesday, January 8, 2013 in the Chapel of Forest Lawn Funeral Home with the Reverend Craig Stepp officiating. Interment will take place at Forest Lawn Memorial Park in Hendersonville, N.C. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the , 120 Executive Park, Asheville, N.C. 28801 or the .
