KINSTON - Earl Carl Evans age 84 passed away Wednesday June 27, 2012 at Lenoir Memorial Hospital. Mr. Evans was born in Gates County, N.C. January 20, 1928. He was a Korean War Veteran and a retired insurance salesman. He was preceded in death by his parents Admiral Dewey Evans and Dulcie Janice Morris Evans and his wife Martha "Mot" Evans. Funeral Service will be held at 11:00 a.m. Saturday June 30, 2012 at Tanglewood Church of God with Pastor Allen Stocks and Pastor Rudolph Williams officiating. Interment will follow at Pinelawn Memorial Park. He is survived by his sons, Jeff Evans and wife Delores of Kinston, N.C., Richard Mark Evans and wife Sarah of New Bern, N.C., a daughter, Janice E. Gold and husband John of Raleigh, N.C., four grandchildren, Dr. Bradley Hilton Evans and wife Cooper, Sean Lee Gold and wife Betsy, Evan Wesley Gold and Adam Cameron Gold. The family will receive friends at the church Saturday from 10:00 a.m. until service time. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to Kinston V.F.W. Post 2771.
