KINSTON - Edna "Pearl" Blizzard King, 81 of 1237 Stanley Mission Road passed away Monday, July 9, 2012 at Vidant Medical Center in Greenville. She was a homemaker who took great pride in loving and caring for her family whom meant so much to her. She was preceded in death by her parents, Arthur Garland and Reba Stroud Blizzard, her husband, Vance Perry King, her sister, Geraldine Turner and her brother, Norman Blizzard. Services will be held at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday, July 12, 2012 from the chapel of Garner Funeral Home with Pastor Bill Bradley officiating. The family will receive friends immediately following the service. Interment services will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Friday, July 13, 2012 from Pinelawn Memorial Park with Reverend Paul Dean officiating. Survivors include her daughter, Glenda Brown and husband, Kenneth of Potters Hill; her son, Bobby King and wife, Gloria of Kinston; her brother, JD Blizzard of Kinston; five grandchildren, Dana King, Douglas King, Jill McGowan and husband, Billy, Jason Brown and wife, Alicia and Jeremy Brown; and three great grandchildren, Taylor, Zachary and Morgan.
