RICHMOND, Va. - Elder Ruth Jones Christian, formerly of Kinston, died Thursday, Aug. 2, 2012. A funeral will be held at 1 p.m. Wednesday Aug. 8 at St. John's United Holy Church of Richmond, Va. Burial will follow in the Maury Cemetery. Survivors include her husband, Frank Christian, daughter Georgia Walker, sons Lynwood Jones, Anthony Jones and Daniel Christian, all of Richmond; sisters Ida Taylor of Daly City, Calif., Laura Cotton of Kinston, Thelma Johnson of Richmond, Martha Taylor of Kinston and Elizabeth Davis of Newark, N.J.; brothers Sims Jones Jr. of Stafford, Va., Otha M.
