KINSTON - Eleanor Reese Fidler Crowe, 90, of Kinston passed away Thursday, July 12, 2012, at Harmony Hall in Kinston. She was a homemaker and an Honorary Life Member of First Presbyterian Church where she had served as an Elder. She volunteered at LMH in the Cheer Corner. Mrs. Crowe was preceded in death by her husbands, James Wesley Fidler and Richard "Don" Crowe. Services will be held at 11 a.m. on Saturday, July 14, 2012, from First Presbyterian Church Chapel with the Reverend Wanda Neely officiating. The family will receive friends at 10 a.m. until the time of the service. A private interment will be held at Westview Cemetery. Survivors include her sons, James D. Fidler Sr. and wife Diane, of Kinston and Thomas W. Fidler and wife Shelly, of Chester, Va.; her step-daughters, Annie C. Goodheart and Virginia C. Rogers and husband Reginald, all of Raleigh; five grandchildren, James D. Fidler Jr. and wife Stephanie, of Round Hill, Va., Kelly F. Hale and husband Perry, of Nags Head, Thomas W. Fidler Jr. and wife Sasha, of Concord, Kristi Steele of Reidsville, Keri Foust and husband Rick, of Burlington; and 10 great-grandchildren. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to the First Presbyterian Church, 2101 North Heritage Street, Kinston, NC 28501 or LMH Volunteers, 100 Airport Road, Kinston NC 28503.Garner Funeral Home is assisting the family with the arrangements.
