KINSTON - Essie Faye Turner Barwick of Kinston passed away on Friday, April 13, 2012. She was retired from Caswell Center with 25 years of service as Staff Development Trainer, attended Rivermont Presbyterian Church. She was preceded in death by her parents, James Phineus and Myra Bell Turner; husband of 46 years, Walter Collins "Bill" Barwick; brothers, J.B. Turner, Wayne Turner and George W. Turner; great grandson, William Staten Barwick. Survivors include children, William Collins "Billy" Barwick and wife Carol Barwick, Rhonda Faye Barwick and husband Barry Seay, Robin Jo Barwick-Hodges and husband David Hodges; grandchildren, Kristen Barwick Stroud, Linnie Ray Stroud, William Steven Barwick, Nikki Herring Barwick, Erica Faith Hodges, Matthew Steven Hodges, Noah Barwick Seay, Christopher Alexander Hodges, Hannah Elizabeth Seay and Jackson Barwick Seay; great grandchildren, Riley Logan Stroud and Hayden Elizabeth Stroud; future blessing, great grandchild, Kendall Leigh Barwick; sister, Mildred Turner Smith; and many beloved nieces and nephews. Visitation will be held from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. Sunday, April 15, 2012 at Howard-Carter Funeral Home. Funeral service will be held at 2 p.m. on Monday, April 16, 2012 at Howard-Carter Funeral Home with Rev. Rick Vernon officiating. Burial will follow at Pinelawn Memorial Park.
