KINSTON - Esther Elizabeth Webb Parris, 71, of Kinston passed away Tuesday morning, February 12, 2013, at Vidant Medical Center. Born April 25, 1941, to the late Albert and Maude Webb, she was a graduate of Stantonsburg High School and attended Atlantic Christian College. She was an active member of Grainger Baptist Church, a retired Manager of the Plaza and Queen Street branches of BB&T, and was currently employed at Wells Fargo Advisors. Esther was a devoted Nana who enjoyed attending her grandchildren's ballgames and dance recitals. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by two brothers, Albert Jr. and Edward Webb. Survivors include her devoted husband of 51 years, J. Arthur Parris of the home; son Jay Parris and wife Amy of Kinston; daughter Teena Parris of Winterville; grandchildren Brett and Drew Nichols and Reed and Reena Parris; and brother, Earl Webb of Alma, Ga. Funeral services will be held at 6 p.m. Friday, February 15, 2013, at Howard-Carter Funeral Home with the Reverends Ivey White and T. R. Miller officiating. The family will receive friends following the service. Graveside services will be at 11 a.m. Saturday, February 16, 2013, at Pinelawn Memorial Park.
