KINSTON - Frances Williamson Baker, passed away peacefully Tuesday, July 31, 2012. She was born October 29, 1923, to Willie Williamson and Elsie Jordan Williamson in Wilson, North Carolina. A memorial service to celebrate her life will be held at 1 p.m. Saturday, August 4, 2012 at First Baptist Church with Dr. Chuck Towery officiating. The family will receive friends following the service at First Baptist Church. Mrs. Baker was married to the late Jasper Benjamin Baker. She is survived by her daughters, Sue Baker Dodd and husband David of Landis, N.C., Laura Baker Crook and husband Joe, of Cary, N.C. Her grandchildren are Mary Frances Dodd, Anne Fuller Dodd, Kimberly Young, Ben Crook and wife Elizabeth, Michael Crook and fiancé Lindsey Paytes; and a great-grandchild Joshua Crook. Mrs. Baker was an active member of First Baptist Church, the Lenoir Memorial Hospital Auxiliary, and her community. Her greatest joys in life were family, church, and time with friends.
