Freeman Raynor Obituary

BEULAVILLE - Freeman Ray Raynor , age 86, died Tuesday, March 2, 2010, at his home sur-rounded by family. Mr. Raynor was a retired farmer of the Cedar Fork Community. He was a World War II veteran in the 3 rd Army under General Patton. He was a lifelong member of Cedar Fork Missionary Baptist Church where he had served as a Deacon, Song Leader and Sunday School Superintendent. Mr. Raynor had a great love for his family, his church and his commu-nity. He is survived by his wife of 63 years, Genevieve Sandlin Raynor; sons David Ray Raynor and wife Gail, of Garner, N.C., Jerry Deane Raynor and wife Pat, of Kenansville, N.C. , Brian Sandlin Raynor and wife Jan, of Beulaville, N.C.; sister Pauline Lanier and husband Jack; and brother, Forbus Raynor; sisters-in-law Jerry Ann Jones and husband Bronnie, and Pansy Sandlin Johnson; six grandchildren, Lori Raynor, Krystal Raynor O'Mara, Miranda Raynor, Josh Raynor, Calvin Raynor and Allison Raynor; four great-grandchildren, Diana Grady, Avery O'Mara, Abigail O'Mara and Miley Brown. He was preceded in death by his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Stephen Raynor; sister Irene Raynor Hunter; and brothers, Earl Raynor and Linwood Raynor. Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Friday, March 5, 2010, at Community Funeral Home, Beulaville. Burial will follow in Cedar Fork Cemetery, Beulaville. The family will receive friends f rom 7-9 p.m. Thursday, March 4, 2010, at Community Funeral Home. Condolences may be left online at communityfuneralhomenc.com.
