COMFORT - Gladys Mae Philyaw Foster, 82, of 3912 Highway 41 West passed away Monday, August 27, 2012 at her home. Mrs. Foster was a member of Gospel Light Church and was known to be right there with food and baking if she found out anyone was sick. She was preceded in death by her parents, Eddie and Cassie Dunn Philyaw; her husband, Dallas Myrl Foster; and a granddaughter, Paula Miller. Funeral services will be held at 7 p.m. on Thursday evening, August 30, 2012, at Gospel Light Church in Comfort with Pastor Ruffin Hill and Pastor Jonathan Foster officiating. The family will receive friends immediately following the service. Interment services will be held at 11 a.m. on Friday at Pinelawn Memorial Park. Left to cherish her memory is her daughter, Brenda F. Miller and husband George, of Comfort; her sons, Dallas M. "Buddy" Foster Jr. and wife Vickie, of Atkinson, N.C. and Danny R. Foster and wife Jeannie, of Trenton; a special nephew, Fred Foster; 12 grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; and numerous family members and friends.
