LA GRANGE - Dr. Glenn Bruner, 76, of La Grange, passed away Sunday, June 24, 2012. Dr. Bruner was born September 6, 1935, in Clay County, Kentucky, to the late Walter and Hazel Martin Bruner. Glenn had a strong love for Jesus. He graduated in 1965 from Loyola Dental School and began his dental practice in Palatine, Illinois, where he served the community for forty two years. Dr. Bruner was a member of the American Dental Association and the Northwest Suburban Dental Society where he served on the Peer Review Board. Glenn served four years with the United States Marine Corps. He was fascinated and enjoyed automobiles and Harley-Davidson motorcycles. A service of remembrance will be held Thursday, June 28, 2012 at 11 a.m. from Rouse Funeral Home with Pastor Mary Kay Ward officiating. Interment will follow at Fairview Cemetery. Dr. Bruner is survived by two children, Paula Martin Bruner of New Orleans, LA and Tristan Bruner and wife, Cindy of La Grange; two grandchildren whom he adored, Noel and Holly Bruner; his former wife of thirty four years and best friend, Ollie S. Bruner of La Grange; and two sisters, Lillie Young of Corbin, KY and Cathy Cook of Dayton, OH. In addition to his parents, Glenn was preceded in death by a brother, Walter Eugene Bruner. The family will receive friends Thursday from 10-11 a.m. at Rouse Funeral Home and at other times they will be at the home of Mr. & Mrs. Tristan Bruner, 4109 Kennedy Home Road, La Grange.
