KINSTON - Herbert Arnold Sr., of 1655 Arnold Family Road, died Wednesday, Dec. 5, 2012, at his home. The funeral will be held at 2 p.m. Sunday, Dec. 9 at Jericho A.M.E. Zion Church with the Rev. Angelene Thomas officiating. Burial will follow in the Southview Cemetery. Survivors include sons, George Arnold, Herbert Arnold Jr., Malorie Arnold and Michael Smith, all of Kinston; daughters Carrie Green of Carthage, Miss., Shirley Arnold of Silver Springs, Md., Brenda Arnold of Washington, D.C., Teresa Hargrove, Carrie Cannon and Janet Bryant, all of Kinston; brother Harry L. Warren of Kinston; sister Mary L. Roundtree of Kinston; 32 grandchildren; 87 great-grandchildren and 31 great-great-grandchildren. Visitation will be from 4-7 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 8 at Swinson Funeral Service. Arrangements are by Swinson Funeral Service.
