NEW BERN - Lance Corporal Hunter "H.D." Hogan, 21, while serving with 1st BN, 8th Marines, 2nd Marine division, was killed in action in Helmand Province, Afghanistan, on Saturday, June 23, 2012. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 3 p.m., Friday, July 6, at St. Joseph's Catholic Church in York, Neb. Military interment will be in St. Joseph's Cemetery, York. Survivors include his wife, Brittney of New Bern; father Steve Hogan of Aurora, Neb.; mother Tracy Rogers Hogan of Indiana; and grandparents Jim and Betty Hogan of Kinston.
