DEEP RUN - Jerry Dewayne Elkins, 54, of 2438 Gray Branch Church Road, passed away Saturday, September 15, 2012, at his home. A memorial service will be held at 2 p.m. on Wednesday, September 19, 2012, at Piney Grove Original Free Will Baptist Church with Pastor Cecil Blackman officiating. Survivors include his wife of six years, Mary Hoffman Elkins of the home; his mother, Anna Jean Elkins of Spring Arbor Mich.; his daughter, Kimberly Thompson of Kinston; his sons, Jonathan Hoffman of Deep Run and Timothy Whitehurst of Russellville Ala.; his sister, Sherry Elkins of Spring Arbor Mich.; his brothers, Kenneth Elkins of Homer Mich., Gail Elkins of Parma Mich., David Elkins of Concord Mich., Stanley Elkins of Spring Arbor Mich.; and four grandchildren.
