GRIFTON - Joan Catherine Smith Briley, 67, of 6409 Providence Lane died Wednesday, June 6, 2012, at home. A private service will be held at Westview Cemetery. Survivors include her husband of 46 years, Gerald Wayne Briley of the home and sister, Glenda McLawhorn of Dover. Garner Funeral Home is assisting the family with the arrangements.
