KINSTON - Mr. Kenneth Linwood Epps Sr., 76, passed away on Thursday, June 14, 2012, at Waccamaw Community Hospital, Murrells Inlet, S.C. Kenneth was born in Wayne County on October 7, 1935, to the late Silas Clifton Epps and Rachael Johnson Epps. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wives, Shelby Ann Taylor Epps and Ann Oliver Epps; and grandson, David Jennings Dawson III. He worked with DuPont as Human Resource Manager and was a member of Faith Fellowship Church. Kenneth was a loving husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather and brother. He loved spending time with his family and friends; was loved by all and will be truly missed by many. Survivors include his daughter, Sonya Parks and husband Kevin, of Wake Forest; sons Kenneth Epps Jr. and wife Debbie, of Goldsboro, Jay Epps and wife LaNelle, of Forth Worth, Texas; grandchildren Jordan Parks, Logan Parks, Madison Parks, Heather E. Cash and husband John, and Caleb Epps; great-grandchildren Kaylee Cash and Khloe Cash; and many beloved step-grandchildren and great-grandchildren; his sister, Madeline Kornegay of Wilmington; and nephew, Robert F. Kornegay Jr. of San Diego, Calif. Funeral services will be held on Monday, June 18, 2012, at 7 p.m. at Faith Fellowship Church with Dr. Randy Spaugh officiating. The family will receive friends following the service. Burial will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday, June 19, 2012, at Pinelawn Memorial Park.
