DEEP RUN - Lala Mae Coley Deaver, 97, of Deep Run passed away on Wednesday, July 11, 2012. Mrs. Deaver was the daughter of the late Jason and Susan Carter Coley. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Alvin Deaver; son Herman Deaver; and daughter, Doris Tyndall. She and her husband of over 50 years enjoyed their lives as farmers and as members of Gray Branch F.W.B. Church. Her family, her God, and her church were the most important things in her life. She will always be remembered as a good Christian woman. Survivors include her sons, Tom Deaver and wife Ina, and Gene Deaver, all of Deep Run; 13grandchildren; 22 great-grandchildren; and 19 great-great-grandchildren. The family extends a special thanks to her caregivers, Michelle, Teresa, and Michael. The family will receive friends from 7-9 p.m., Friday, July 13, 2012, at Howard-Carter Funeral Home and other times at the home. Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, July 14, 2012, at Gray Branch F.W.B. Church with the Reverends Ray Brown and J. D. Turner officiating. Burial will follow in Gray Branch F.W.B.
