DENTON - Lee Lanier Cummings, 72, died Friday, July 20, 2012, at home. A graveside service will be held at 1:30 p.m. Sunday, July 22 at Canaan United Methodist Church Cemetery in Denton. Ministers from her home church of First Presbyterian in High Point will be officiating. The family will receive friends at the home on Northbridge Court in High Point from 5-7 p.m. Saturday. Survivors include her husband, Harry H. Cummings Sr. of the home; daughters Lisa Dyer of King, and Pam Phillips of Kenansville; step-sons Howard J. Cummings of Raleigh, Harry H. Cummings Jr. of Kinston, and W. Kent Cummings of Raleigh; step-daughter Eleanor Beasley of Kinston; sisters Inez Varner of Denton and Dot Landrum of High Point; one granddaughter; eight step-grandchildren and four step-great-grandchildren.
