KINSTON - Lena Mae Taylor Price Chambers, 81, went to be with her Lord on Tuesday May 27, 2014, at Lenoir Memorial Hospital. She dedicated her life to helping others as a nurse for over 50 years. She was preceded in death by her parents, Bruce Craven Taylor, Lula Smith Taylor and Ethel Benson Taylor; and brothers, Elbert L. Taylor and Donald Ray Taylor. She was survived by her loving husband of 50 years, James M. Chambers; daughter Sharon Price Ervin and husband David; granddaughters Kelly Ervin of Charlotte, and Jaclyn Ervin of Wilmington; sister Janice Taylor Grant of Grifton; brothers Leroy Taylor and wife Blanche, Dennis C. Taylor and wife Cornelia, of Kinston, and Bruce W. Taylor and wife Cammie, of La Grange; and many nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held Thursday, May 29, 2014, at 6 p.m. with family visitation following immediately at Howard-Carter Funeral Home of Kinston and other times at the home, 711 Darden Drive. Burial will be held on Friday, May 30, 2014, at 10 a.m. at Pinelawn Memorial Park. Memorials may be made to the Parkinson's Disease Foundation, 7700 Leesburg Pike, Suite 208 Falls Church, VA 22043.
