TRENTON - Logan Walton Green, 88, of Trenton passed away Wednesday, January 22, 2014, at his home. Mr. Green served in the U.S. Army during WWII and was a life long farmer. He was a member of First Pentecostal Holiness Church and a member of the Jones County American Legion, Post 154. He was preceded in death by his wife, Katherine Griffin Green; his parents, Edgar Gaylord and Minnie Gaskins Green; two sisters, Elsie Spence and Melba Lewis; and a brother, Winfred Green. Funeral services will be held at 7 p.m. on Friday, January 24, 2014, from the chapel of Garner Funeral Home with the Reverend Brian Rogers officiating. The family will receive friends immediately following the service. Interment services will be held at 11 a.m. on Saturday at Friendship FWB Church Cemetery with Military Honors. Survivors include his son, Donald Walton Green and wife Geneva; his brother, Leo Green and two grandchildren, Dana Green Coward and husband Timmy and Aimee Green Gillen and husband Bob, all of Trenton; three great-grandchildren, Brandon, Logan and Nicholas and a special friend, Maude Turner of Trenton.
