ROSE HILL - Margaret Kathryn "Kay" Souza Merritt, 91, died Sunday, Sept. 16, 2012, at the Quinn Hospice Care Center in Kenansville. Graveside services will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday, Sept. 20, at Oak Plain Presbyterian Church Cemetery, 6800 Waycross Road, Rose Hill. A memorial service will be at 3 p.m. Thursday, at Mt. Zion Presbyterian Church. Visitation will be at the home of Billy and Deborah Merritt, 1645 Nash Johnson Pond Road, Rose Hill. Survivors include daughters, Mary Elizabeth McCullen of Raleigh, Lucia Christine Woodlief of Youngsville; son William Preston "Billy" Merritt of Rose Hill; six grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren. In lieu of flowers, the family request that memorials be made to Quinn Hospice Care Center, 748 South Kenansville Bypass, Kenansville, NC 28349 or Mt.
