KINSTON - Mary Christine Barlow went to Heaven, Thursday, March 15, 2012. Christine was born June 17, 1943, in Byron, Ga., and grew up in Warner Robbins, Ga. She adored her children and grandchildren. Christine enjoyed being surrounded by photos of her family, her collectible of angels and her flowers. She preferred driving pickup trucks. She excelled at dancing and roller skating in her younger years. Christine's married life carried her to Oklahoma and then to New Jersey, where she lived most of life. Christine moved to Kinston in 1999. She was a homemaker and a professional care giver and worked briefly for Wal-Mart. Christine was preceded in death by her parents and three daughters, Valerie Bean, Mary Jacques and Margaret Matulewicz. Memorial services will be held at 10 a.m. on Saturday, March 17, 2012, at Spilman Memorial Baptist Church. The family will receive friends immediately following the service and other times at her brother's home, 6258 Annie J. Stokes Lane in Grifton. Survivors include her sons, Don Duggan and wife, Angela, Dean Duggan and wife, Angelia, Chris Duggan and wife, Angela, all of Oklahoma, Anthony Matulewicz and wife, Daneen, James Applin, step-son, Brian Applin and wife, Suzanne, step-daughter, Maureen Torre and husband, George, all of New Jersey; brother, Jimmy Barlow and wife, Brenda of Grifton; grandchildren, Tiffany, John, Zack, Jake, Christa, Corey, Clay, Todd and Scott; three great grandchild, three nieces, two nephews, two aunts and several cousins.
