SEVEN SPRINGS - Maxine Price Barwick, 82, of the Liddell community, passed away Wednesday, July 11, 2012. Mrs. Barwick was born July 26, 1929, in Duplin County to the late Charles Isaac Price and Celia P. Price. She was wife of the late Earl Barwick and was preceded in death by a sister, Annie Phillips. Maxine was a lifelong member of Daly's Chapel Original Free Will Baptist Church and retired from Caswell Center. She enjoyed working in her yard, gardening and most of all cherished time spent with her family. A service of remembrance will be held Saturday, July 14, 2012, at 10 a.m. from Daly's Chapel Free Will Baptist Church with the Rev. George Futrelle and the Rev. Todd Sutton officiating. Interment will follow at the Quinn Family Cemetery. Mrs. Barwick is survived by three sons, Vernie Barwick and wife Pennie, of Seven Springs, Neil Barwick and wife Susan, of Kenansville, Chuck Barwick of Greenville; four grandchildren, Byron Barwick and wife Susan, Catherine Lynch and husband Neal, Riley Barwick and Matthew Barwick; three great-grandchildren, Connor Lynch, Brody Lynch and Nathan Barwick; two sisters, Carol Ham and husband Lee, of Kinston, Elsie Moye of Mount Olive; along with her special friend and caregiver, Eleanor Barwick. The family will receive friends Friday from 6-8 p.m. at Daly's Chapel Free Will Baptist Church and at other times they will be at the home. Online condolences may be expressed at rousefh.com.
