KINSTON - Michael Ray Lassiter, 50, of Kinston passed away on August 18, 2012 at Lenoir Memorial Hospital. He was preceded in death by his father Alvin Earl Lassiter. Survivors include his daughter Christian Lassiter of Kinston; mother Frances Langston Lassiter of Kinston; four sisters Mae Helen Braxton of Lake Placid, Fla., Frances Bennett of Bloxom, Va., Diane Luna of Dallas, Texas and Dorothy Marie Lassiter of Kinston; two brothers Alvin "Al" Lassiter of Trenton and Gary Lassiter of Kinston and several nieces and nephews. The family will receive friends from 6:00 –8:00 p.m. Tuesday, August 21, 2012 at Rivermont Holiness Church and other times at his mother's home. Memorial service will begin at 8:00 p.m. Tuesday, August 21, 2012 with Rev. Jimmy Horne officiating. Arrangements by Howard-Carter Funeral Home.
