TRENTON - Sidney Braxton Howard, 82, of Trenton died Sunday, September 16, 2012, at Vidant Health Care in Greenville. He was a member of the Lamb House Church on Comfort Hwy. Braxton was a member of the Zion Lodge No. 81 and past master of the Richland Masonic Lodge. He was a member of the Ruritan Club, and American Legion Trenton Post 143. He was preceded in death by his parents, Alton and Blanche Howard; his wife, Ophelia Howard; granddaughter Janice Howard; and son-in-law Bobby Forbes. A funeral service will be held Wednesday, September 19, 2012, at 7 p.m. at Johnson Funeral Home Chapel, Richlands with the Reverend Frankie Lowery officiating. Burial will be Thursday, September 20, 2012, at 2 p.m. at Onslow Memorial Park with Masonic Rites. He is survived by his son, Don Howard and wife Ann, of Trenton; daughter Sharon Forbes and special friend Rodney Hudnell, of Greenville; brothers Andre Howard of Dahlonega, Ga., Alfred Howard of Kenansville; grandchild Jeremy Howard; great-grandchild Faith Howard; and special friend Nancy Jones. The family will receive friends following the service on Wednesday night at Johnson Funeral Home Chapel, Richlands.
