BLACK SWAMP -Velma Fountain Brown, died Wednesday, April 25, 2012, in Greenville. The funeral will be held at 2 p.m. Friday, April 27, at Muddy Creek Primitive Baptist Church in Lyman. Interment will follow in Hosea Fountain Cemetery, Fountaintown. Survivors include her son, Preston Brown of Back Swamp; daughters Geraldine Raynor of Raleigh, and Carolyn Thompson of Greenville; sister Frances Fountain of Fountaintown; brothers Marvin Fountain, Earl Fountain and Edward Fountain, all of Fountaintown; six grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren.
