KINSTON - Emma Lee Grant Wade, 79, of 2132 Oakview Street, passed away peacefully at her home on Thursday, March 20, 2014. She was a homemaker and a loving wife, mother and grandmother. She was preceded in death by her parents, Leslie and Alma Grant, her sister, Laura Manning, her brother, Leslie E. Grant and wife Janice Cox Grant, and a grandson, James Paul "Jay" Gray. The family will receive friends from 6-8 p.m. on Saturday evening at Garner Funeral Home and other times at her home. Graveside services will be held at 2 p.m. on Sunday, March 23, 2014, at Westview Cemetery with the Reverend Norman Davis, Jr. officiating. Survivors include her husband of 60 years, James B. "JB" Wade of the home; her daughters, Carol Wade Dudley of Swansboro and Lisa Wade Cauley and husband Jim, of Wilson; her sisters, Evelyn Broadhurst and Shirley Elam, both of Kinston and Dorothy "Dot" Mills of Morehead City; three grandchildren, Emily Jill Wooten of Kinston, Emily Carol Cauley of Raleigh and Mary Alexandria Cauley of Wilson; and a great grandchild, Mallory Gray Lane.
