TRENTON - Frank R. Howard died peacefully on August 7, 2014. The funeral will be held Saturday, August 9 at 2 p.m. with visitation immediately following the service at Tuckahoe Christian Church, 6212 Hwy 41 West Trenton, NC. The graveside service will follow the visitation at Oak Ridge Memorial Park in Pink Hill, N.C. Frank was a life-long farmer who loved his family and community. He also enjoyed running his country store and swinging in his back yard with his dogs. He was a faithful member of Tuckahoe Christian Church and served as a deacon. He served in the Korean Conflict as an MP in the Army and he cherished his military reunions. He was preceded in death by his parents, Rodolph and Evelyn Howard; and sister, Della Henry. He is survived by his wife of 60 years, Annie Mae Norris Howard; their children, Phillip (son) and his wife Golonda, of Trenton, N.C., Delbert (son) and his wife Mona, of Trenton, N.C., Linda (daughter) and her husband Jeffery Turner, of Pink Hill, N.C., and Connie (daughter) and her husband Kendall Huffman, of Pink Hill, N.C. Additional survivors include his sister, Arlyn Gray of Maysville, N.C.; eight grandchildren, Joseph Howard and wife Shelly, Caleb Howard and wife Kimberly, Franky Howard and wife Sarah, Dora Howard, Joshua Turner, Jacob Turner, Kyle Huffman, and Brett Huffman; and five great-grandchildren, Mason Lee, Wyatt Howard, Killian Howard, Connor Howard, and Anna Howard and one special care giver, Susan Barfield.
