I am deeply shocked and saddened at the news of hearing Jay has passed. He has been my Sysco Sales Rep for 3 years now and he was such a pleasure to work with. He always talked about his family and I could tell he loved you all so deeply. I will miss working with him and seeing him every week. Soooooooooo sad!!!!
Your family is in my prayers!!! I am soooooooooo sorry for your loss!!!

Each time I have come to this site to post something, I have had a hard time doing so because my heart is so heavy at the loss of this incredible man. At some point he became a "second father", to my son, a role that he proudly claimed. I could have not picked a better role model for my son and I will always be grateful for the guidance and love both he and his family showed. No matter where you saw him he was with his family, or was doing something good for his community, or he was talking about his love for his family or his next community project. He put his heart and soul in everything he did. Gone way too soon, but what a legacy he leaves behind. I'll always remember Ashley kissing him on the head right after she shaved his head this spring at the fundraiser, times hearing his band at the beach and him talking me into buying all those tickets at the recent BBQ Festival. Wonderful memories, and it is my sincere wish that as I keep the family and friends in my prayers that they too will hold on to those precious memories.

Wow is all I can say. I work for a company he serves through Sysco. He was a very kind man. He was a joy to talk to and laugh with. Even while doing business we laughed and made his short time here enjoyable.... He will truly be missed dearly. This is tragic news he was a great person... For his family be encouraged and may he rest in peace....

To all the family of Jay , I was so sorry to hear that Jay had passed away knowing that he left at a very young age . I know that he surely will be missed by all of his family as well as the many friends he has . I remember Jay as a man who was full of life and cared deeply for his family . I remember the first time I met Jay was when I was at the tire store on Queen street and I instantly became friends with him . I had lost track of Jay until about 3 months ago when he and I talked for a while about old times and he seemed very thrilled with the way his life was going . He was truly a great man and a great friend of mine and I will always remember him , SO keep your faith and prayers for him in your hearts and you will forever have a part of him with you all .

I did not have the privilege of knowing Jay, but have heard some wonderful things about him. His family are wonderful people so he would have to be as well.
Linda, Jeff, Dean, Kim, and Melanie, his wife and children, (and everyone else), please know that you are in our thoughts and prayers daily and will continue to be for as long as is necessary. Heavenly Father obviously needed Jay for a special reason or he would not be where he is now. However, KNOW that he is in a good place. I've been there twice and it's beautiful. Had I had the choice to stay, I would have, but I was told it was not my time and that I had to return to mortality which I reluctantly did. I am not afraid of dying because I know what it's like, so rest assured he is in an absolutely gorgeous place where he will be with family that has previously left mortality. Know that he will be visiting and enjoying being with them and possibly playing those drums at some type of function.
It sounds as though he was a good man, husband, father, brother, and son. We are so sorry for your loss, but know that you will see him again. He will be waiting to see you as well but for now, this is the way it has to be. May Heavenly Father be with you all to guide and comfort you as you mourn and grieve over this special young man. Also, please know we love you very much. If we can do anything please let us know. Sent most humbly and lovingly. Linda and Ron Coltes

Kathy, Ashley, and Ian we are so very sorry for your loss. Jay was always full of life and would do anything he could for anyone. I truly enjoyed being around him the years he worked with David in M.B. I cooked him many cheeseburgers and mac/cheese. We will miss him for years to come and a piece of our heart is broken. Just know you are in our thoughts and prayers
