There she completed the two years then offered, and completed her next two years of Medical training at the University of Pennsylvania at Philadelphia, receiving her medical degree there in 1951. Her medical internships were held in Virginia and Chapel Hill. Dr. Pully opened her local practice in 1955 and retired in 1975. She was named Citizen of the year by the Lenoir County Chamber of Commerce in 1975 and inducted into the Lenoir Memorial Hospital Hall of Fame.
