VALENCIA, CALIF. - Leland Delano Davis, age 77, passed away Sunday, Oct. 21, 2012, at Henry Mayo Hospital in Valencia, Calif. He was born May 23, 1935, in Kinston, N.C. A Korean veteran, he served his country in the U.S. Marine Corps. After attending college and taking advance acting classes, he was an educator by profession, teaching English and drama. A skilled actor, he was a member of the Screen Actors Guild with credits for his work on stage, television, and as a professional Santa Clause. He was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. He is survived by his wife, Linda Davis; son Stephen Davis and wife Nancy; daughter Joelene Knight and husband John; and six grandchildren, all of California; brother Bob Davis and wife Georgia, of Charlotte, N. C.; and sister, Patricia D. Thigpen and husband Clarence, of Deep Run, N.C. He was preceded in death by his parents, Bland and Swannie Belle Davis; and son, Brantley Davis.
