KINSTON - Tiffany Nicole Smith, 22, of 315 A Tiffany Street, passed away Sunday, November 11, 2012, at Vidant Medical Center. She was preceded in death by her infant son, Matthew Eugene Smith who passed away on Tuesday, November 6, 2012. Funeral services for the two of them will be held at 2 p.m. on Friday, November 16, 2012, from the chapel of Garner Funeral Home. Interment will follow in Westview Cemetery. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service. Survivors include her mother, Angelia A. Chase and husband Kirby Eugene, of Kinston; her father, William D. Gourley Jr. of Hillsboro; her son, De'Shawn Rashad Blake Smith of the home; a sister, Jessica A. Gourley and fiancé Lewis West Jr., of Deep Run; her maternal grandparents, Ralph and Janice Faye Herring of La Grange; paternal grandparents, William D. Gourley Sr. of Franklinton and Barbara Terrell of Hillsboro; and special friends George Pinckney Jr., Andre Hill and John Washington. Arrangements are by Garner Funeral Home.
