DEEP RUN - James Randall Humphrey, 58, of Deep Run, passed away on Saturday, December 1, 2012 at Wayne Memorial Hospital. He was born in Lenoir County on June 23, 1954 to the late James Edgar Humphrey and Virginia Davis Sutton. Randall was an electrician with T&H Electrical Company; he was also a member of Smith New Home Baptist Church. He enjoyed spending time with his family and friends and had a loved for the outdoors and especially enjoyed salt water fishing. Randall always had a kind and gentle word. He will truly be missed and was loved by all. Survivors include one son, James Edward Humphrey of Fort Pierce, FL; one sister, Della Frederick and husband Don of Goldsboro; one brother, Wayland Humphrey and wife Beverly of Deep Run; two grandchildren, James Edward Humphrey Jr., Jesse James Humphrey; step-mother Billie Humphrey of Kinston; special friends Bernie and Linda Rackley and Mary Susan Humphrey. Visitation will be held from 7:00 to 8:30 pm Monday, December 3, 2012 at Howard-Carter Funeral Home and other times at the home of Mary (Tootsie) Harper 2629 John Green Smith Rd. Deep Run. Graveside services will be held at 11:00 am, Tuesday, December 4, 2012 at Pinelawn Memorial Park with Rev. Walter Sutton officiating. In lieu of flowers memorial may be sent to S.M.O.C "Cure for Colors" 203 Cox Boulevard, Goldsboro NC, 27534. Howard-Carter Funeral Home is assisting the family with arrangements.
