SEVEN SPRINGS - Mary Stroud Outlaw, 92, passed away December 1, 2012, at Mount Olive Care and Rehabilitation Center. A service of remembrance will be held at Pink Hill Funeral Home at 7 p.m. on Friday, December 7, 2012, with the Reverend Steve Grissom officiating. The family will receive friends immediately following the service. Mary bequeathed her body to The Brody School of Medicine at East Carolina University. The family requests no flowers and that any gifts of remembrance be made to Albertson Missionary Baptist Church, PO Box 37 Albertson, NC 28508. Mary was born in Wayne County on June 2, 1920. She was preceded in death by her parents, Owen and Nannie Stroud; her husband, Jesse Outlaw; five brothers, Needham Stroud, Earl Stroud, Woodrow Stroud, Jonas Stroud, Bobby Stroud; and two sisters, Doris Stroud and Margaret Britt. She is survived by her son, Jesse Outlaw Jr.; three grandsons, Eric Outlaw, Jason Bryan, and Nolan Outlaw; two great-grandchildren, Trevor Outlaw and Vivian Outlaw; a very special niece, Peggy Jones and husband Jimmy; and many other special family members and friends.
