SEVEN SPRINGS - Robert Garrett, 82, of Seven Springs died Tuesday, December 18, 2012, at Lenoir Memorial Hospital. Funeral services will be held at a later time. Robert is survived by his wife, Ellen Sowers Garrett of the home; sons Robert Garrett Jr. and wife Susan Annette, of Kinston, Michael Garrett and wife Glenda, of Asheville, Timothy Garrett of Kinston, Joel Garrett and wife Thelma, of Houston, Texas and daughter, Kathleen Harris and husband Ben, of Bell Arthur. He is also survived by a brother Marvin Garrett of Creston, Iowa; 14 grandchildren and four great-grandchildren. In lieu of flowers contributions may be made to the Navy Relief Fund.
