GRIFTON - James Lee Winstead age 78, died Friday, April 5, 2013, at his home. Mr. Winstead was retired from E. I. DuPont and attended Ormondsville FWB Church. He was preceded in death by his son Dean Winstead. Special thanks to our neighbors, Reuben and Wanda Hill, Ann Tripp and the support of our Church family. Surviving are his wife; Frances H. Winstead of the home, three sons; Curtis Winstead of Rocky Mount, John Winstead and wife, Francine of Greenville, Kevin Winstead and wife, Debbi of Oak Hill, VA. one daughter; Debra Houston and husband, Phil of Greenville, daughter-in-law; Dixie Winstead of Richmond, VA., one brother; Millard Winstead and wife, Marlene of Elm City. Eight grandchildren; Ashley Winstead, Jason Winstead and Randi, Laura Casimbon and husband,Chris, Emma Winstead, Jane Winstead, Philip Houston and wife, Rebecca, Chris Houston and Beth Dawson and husband Nick. Funeral service will be held Sunday at 2:00pm at Farmer Funeral Home, Ayden, officiated by Dr. Don Ribeiro with visitation to follow. Burial will be Monday, April 8, 2013, at 11:00am, at Evergreen Memorial Estates. Flowers are welcome, but donations may be made to Ormondsville FWB Church, 3745 Ormondsville Road, Ayden, NC 28513.
