RIVERVIEW, FLA - Robert "Bobby" Register, 68, died Saturday, April 6, 2013. He worked at DuPont in N.C. and transferred to Waynesboro Virginia, working for them a total of 30 years; after his retirement he started a vending business and delivered booklets for Dealer Lot II where he was known as "The Book Man." He moved to Tampa, Fla. with his wife 2 ½ years ago where he enjoyed working at Tampa General Hospital as a transporter and especially enjoyed transporting the children in their red wagons. He was a member of the Brandon Moose Lodge, Valrico Eagles and the American Legion. He is survived by his loving wife, Cathy; his son, Robbie Register (Tracy); step-sons, Robert Knott Jr., Kevin Knott, and Corey Hunt; step-daughter, Brandi Irwin (Matt); brothers Jimmy (Jeannie), Patrick (Jane), Dale (Patricia) and Ricky; and five grandchildren. There will be a celebration of Bobby's life on Thursday, April 11, 2013, at 4 p.m. at Serenity Meadows Funeral Home. The family will greet guests one hour prior to the service.
