Victoria King Obituary

KINSTON | Victoria Rae King, 21, of Kinston, died Friday April 21, 2017, after losing her ongoing battle with addiction. Victoria was born July 11, 1995, in Greenville, N.C. to Teresa Faye Forrest and Hal Stewart King. Victoria graduated from South Lenoir High School where she was a member of the cheerleading squad. Victoria was a brave, fearless, and beautiful young lady. Victoria was very passionate in what she believed in, and she touched the life of every person she met. Victoria loved to care for her animals, she loved to sing and write, and she lived a life that was all her own. For the past three years Victoria struggled with an addiction to heroin. While she was not strong enough to overcome her addiction, she will always be loved and missed by those who knew her. Victoria is survived by her mother, Teresa Faye Forrest and husband Gerald; her father, Hal Stewart King; her sister, Ashley Stallings and husband Danny; her brother, Chad King and significant other Jessica Jarman; her step-sister Jenna Meekins and husband Josh; her step-sister Heather Forrest and fiancé Whaley Stroud; and many other extended family members. Victoria was preceded in death by her maternal grandparents, Shirley Cahoon and Edward Jarman; and by her paternal grandparents, Horace and Dixie King. Funeral services will be held at 6 p.m. Friday, April 28, 2017, at Howard-Carter Funeral Home with Danny Stallings officiating. Visitation will follow the service. The family requests that friends and family bring photographs of themselves with Victoria to be added to a memorial board that will be put together during the visitation. Online condolences may be sent to howardandcarter.com. Howard-Carter Funeral Home is assisting the family with arrangements. Sign the guest book at kinston.com

Teresa and family, There are no words except I'm so very sorry another friend of mine has lost her child. Since losing our children, we have never wanted other parents especially those we know to experience such loss and pain. Praying God and Jesus will comfort you and your family as only he can during the days, months, and time ahead. She is resting in paradise and you will always have her in your heart and soul. ❤

To my sweet Cousin Teresa Forrest and our family I am praying that you can find comfort in knowing that She is resting in peace! Heaven has gained another precious Angel and you will see her again. Remember that you put it in the Lord's hands and he was tired of seeing the struggles that went along with this. I share your sorrow and I will be here anytime you need me! Luv u all the time! !
