Glenn Ray Teaster

TEASTER, GLENN RAY - age 73 of Sevierville, passed Tuesday, September 16, 2008. Mr. Teaster was a member of First Baptist Church of Wears Valley and retired from the Tennessee Department of Transportation. He served nineteen months in Germany while in the U.S. Army. He enjoyed camping but his favorite pastime was spending time with his grandchildren. Mr. Teaster was preceded in death by his father Woodrow Teaster and brother Merritt Teaster; survivors, wife of 48 years, Earlene Teaster ; sons and daughters-in-law, Steve and Liane Teaster, Phil and Denise Teaster; grandchildren; Wesley, Whitney, Rebekah, Elizabeth and Sarah Teaster; mother, Myrtle Teaster; brother and sister-in-law; Shirley and Mary Alice Teaster; sisters and brothers-in-law; Altha and Kenneth Williams, Janie and Arthur Davis, Marjorie and Eddie McCarter, Ruby and Mayford Effler; sister-in-law; Lila Teaster Several nieces and nephews. Many special friends including the Wears Valley morning coffee crew. Funeral service 2 PM Saturday in the West Chapel of Atchley Funeral Home with Rev. John Troutman, Rev. W. W. Cope and Rev. Larry Teaster officiating. Interment will follow in Shiloh Cemetery.
