JOHNSON, BETTY H. - went to be with her lord on October 6, 2012 following a lengthy illness. Member of Mullins Chapel Baptist Church, Dandridge. She and her husband, Arlie fostered more than 30 children prior to her retirement in 1990. Preceded in death by her parents, Earnest and Claudia Holloway; brothers, Bob and Clyde Holloway; granddaughters, Whittney Danae Roberts; foster granddaughter, Brittany Sherwood and unborn son, Zeke Sherwood; foster son-in-law. Survivors include, Arlie Vernon Johnson, Sr., husband of 52 years; daughter, Tina Johnson Roberts (Tony); son, Carroll Johnson (Linda), Lee " Vernon" Johnson; foster daughters, Robin Owens, Pamela Hurst (Donald), Judy Sherwood (Tim); foster grandchildren, Mariah, Faylien Sherwood, Misty and Dale Hurst, Jeffery Sherwood; foster great grandchildren, Justice and Bella Newberry, Damien Sherwood; grandchildren, Josh Roberts, Jessica, Elaina, and Destiny Johnson; great grandchildren, Madison and Jackson Roberts; many special friends and extended foster family members. Funeral service 8:00 p.m. Tuesday Mynatt Funeral Home Fountain City Chapel, Chaplain Glen Bradley officiating. Friends and family meet at 10:45 a.m. at Greenwood Cemetery for interment.
