MARK EDWARD RAY

RAY, MARK EDWARD - 53, of Lexington, KY, passed away Sunday, February 17, at the University of Kentucky Hospital. Mark was born June 8, 1959 in Ashland, KY. He was preceded in death by his devoted father, Dr. Hugh Lee Ray; and first wife, Melissa Renee Ray. Mark lived life to the fullest during his time of health. He had a great love for music, motorcycles, the ocean, his dog, Sebastian, and spending time with his many friends and family. He is survived by his always caring mother, Polly Ray; sister and brother-in-law, Jane and Dr. Michael Ehrie, all of Ashland, KY. Mark had two daughters that will miss him greatly, Stephanie Lauren Ray of Irvine, CA, and Elizabeth Lance Ray of Clinton; and a beautiful baby granddaughter he adored, Adelie Grace Murray of Clinton; niece, Meg Ehrie of Alexandria, VA; and nephew, Michael Ehrie III of New York, NY. Mark will also be missed by his former wife and supporter, Pamela Ray-Householder, of Knoxville and his childhood and devoted friend through his sickness and health; Ben Van Meter of Georgetown, KY; he will also be missed by his close friends in the Knoxville area. A memorial service will be held at First Baptist Church, 1701 Winchester Ave, Ashland, KY 41101-7648 on February 24 at 2:00 p.m. with Rev. Harold Moore officiating.
