HENLEY, MISSY (FRANCES WRIGHT) - passed away at home Sunday February 16, 2014 with her husband and daughters by her side after a short battle with colon cancer. Missy was born October 27, 1933 in Glen Mary Tennessee. Her family moved to South Harriman in 1942 where she was raised and remained a Roane County resident the remainder of her life. She was a graduate of South Harriman High School and Tennessee Tech University and played women's fast pitch softball and basketball. It was there she met her blue eyed sweet heart Charles (Jib) Henley and they married December 20, 1953 and just reached a most precious milestone celebrating their 60th wedding anniversary. Missy was preceded in death by her parents Fred James Wright and Dorothy Mae Babcock Wright; her brother, Charles Guy (Mann) Wright. She leaves to cherish her memories: husband of 60 years, Chuck Henley; daughters, Kim (Bruce) Kennedy, Kelly (Jim) Boles; beloved grandsons, Spencer Todd Boles, Nicholas Andrew Boles; her devoted sisters, Lois (Roy) Hixson, Lorellen (Pat) Whitfield, Una (Don) Coffman, Sherry (John) Schuman; brother Barney and wife Margaret whom always felt like a sister to her. Mrs. Henley also leaves behind a host of nieces, nephews, and great nieces and nephews. She leaves a legacy of devotion to family, commitment to marriage, and courage to pain. Funeral will be 2:00 pm Wednesday February 19, 2014 at the St. Andrews Episcopal Church with Father Harry Howard officiating, interment to follow in Kingston Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends from 6:00-8:00 pm Tuesday February 18, 2014 at the Kyker Funeral Home in Harriman.
