HINCHEY, PENNY BARROWS - age 65 of Knoxville, born May 1, 1947, passed away Monday, November 26, 2012. She was a member of Washington Pike United Methodist Church and was retired from Integrated Practice Services. Preceded in death by husband, Thomas Hinchey; parents, Andrew W. and Myrtle H. Barrows. Survived by sons and daughters-in-law, Christopher and Angela Lay, Patrick and Sally Lay; granddaughters, Kaitlyn, Madison, Katherine, Victoria Lay; stepdaughter, Christie Hinchey; grandchildren: Brooke Dyer, Nathan Canestrari; brother and sister-in-law Jeff and Trina Hinchey; sisters-in-law, Kim, Lisa, Angie Hinchey; several nieces and nephews. Preceded in death by birth mother Edna Ashbrook; sister Marcia Welter. Survived by stepfather Henry Ashbrook; sister Brenda Hall (Wayne Romer); brothers, Tom, Ray, Robert Ashbrook; various nieces and nephews. Memorial service will be 1:00 p.m. Saturday, December 1, 2012, at Washington Pike United Methodist Church with Rev. Jim Bailes and Rev. Dr. Patrick C. Polis officiating.
