Antwon Young, was born June 5, 1995, in Knoxville to James Johnson and Tammy Young. Antwon's untimely death on September 29, 2016, has devastated his family, friends and the community. Antwon attended Austin East High School. He loved playing video games, riding dirt bikes and wearing boots (an inside joke). He was a good son, loyal friend and an all-around funny guy. Known for his mannerism, Antwon will be missed by everyone.
Preceded in death by grandparents, Larry Crawford, Carl and Annie Johnson; uncle, Timothy Mathis; and aunt, Gail Johnson.He leaves to cherish his memory his father, James Johnson; mother, Tammy Young; sisters, Tamisha Mathis and Sherry Johnson; brothers, Anthony Young (Jitasia), James, Jr., Maurice and Troy Johnson; grandmother, Patsy Mathis; a host of uncles, aunts, cousins, nieces and nephews.
Saturday, October 8, 2016, the family will receive friends from 4:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m., with a service to follow at Emmanuel Presbyterian Church, 3023 Selma Avenue, Knoxville, TN 37914. Reverend Adrian Kincade officiating. Interment will immediately follow at Mount Olive Cemetery, 2500 Maryville Pike, where a white dove release will conclude the service.
